| | | Rice Russia’s CY 2007 rice imports are forecast to drop from 320,000 metric tons to 180,000 metric tons due to continued restrictions on imports imposed by the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (VPSS). An increase in domestic rice production will not compensate for the fall in imports.
